Eating coconut oil does not cause acne, as far as I'm concerned. But applying coconut oil to your skin MAY cause an acne breakout. Why? Our skin is a good place to store toxins since it is large and it's one of the organs that our body uses to help expel toxins. But the problem is, when you consume toxin-laden food particularly animal proteins every single day, the toxins may be too much for your skin cells to handle and so instead of expelling toxins, your skin becomes a warehouse for toxins over the years.
That explains why meat-eaters tend to have dull skin and age faster. It all thanks to the toxins passed on to them by the dead animals.

In conclusion, eating coconut oil should not cause acne. Eating coconut oil helps with your acne problem instead. But do remember not to eat too much coconut oil like 2 or more tablespoons at one shot when you're getting started because too much coconut oil can trigger diarrhea due to its very strong detox property.
It's best to spread the doses over your meals so that not only it won't give you the runs (even if it does it won't be too severe) but can also help to improve your acne.
