4 Steps to Treating Acne on Your Face with Coconut Oil

Your face is the most crucial part of skin that needs immediate attention because you need to meet people. And if you got acne on your face, the impression you leave on them will somewhat get discounted and may affect your performance bonus (if you're in the service line). Not to worry, you can use coconut oil to salvage your face. Here's the 4-step acne treatment procedure with coconut oil...

Step 1 – Open Your Skin Pores

The skin pores on your face are normally shrunk to keep away dust and other foreign micro-particles from entry. This can make absorption of coconut oil into the skin of your face difficult. So first thing first is to wash your face with warm water or cover your face with a warm washcloth to open up the pores so that they're ready to absorb coconut oil when you apply it to your face.

You can actually make your pores even larger for quicker and easier absorption by using slightly hotter water or washcloth, but make sure you don't scald your skin. Keep the temperature comfortable for your skin.

Step 2 – Avoid Saturation on Skin

Bear in mind not to slather too much coconut oil on your face for treating acne as our skin has a limit to absorbing coconut oil at any one time. It gets saturated easily. So it's pointless to put too much on your skin and attract dust and particles. This could clog your skin pores and make the acne worse. A thin layer will do and a small amount goes a long way to help you save more money in the long run.

Step 3 – Improve Coconut Oil Absorption

Massage the oil in circular motion. This improves the absorption rate of coconut oil into your skin and "pushes" coconut oil deeper into your skin to force the toxins out of your skin. Toxins are one of the culprits that causes acne. Show no mercy on them when treating acne and your skin will heal.

Step 4 – Multiple Applications

Repeat step 1 to 3 as many times as you deem fit per day. There's no hard-and-fast rules on that. As long as you feel the oil has absorbed into your skin and you want to add another layer to it, go ahead. But if you don't have the luxury to do so many times, at least twice a day – one in morning and one at night is good enough.

Of course, more applications definitely help to treat and heal your acne faster. But that may also induce more breakouts as more toxins get driven out from underneath your skin. So, prepare yourself mentally for treating acne with coconut oil.

To sum it up, open your pores with warm water or washcloth followed by rubbing a small amount of coconut oil on your face to help "push" the oil into your skin. Then repeat the procedure as many times as you require daily. This is how you treat acne on your face with coconut oil.
